Our Meal Planning Story

A year into our marriage, we moved from Orlando, Florida to a tiny town called Poseyville in Indiana (population 1200) that didn't have a full-fledged grocery store, meaning any real shopping trip would require some planning. That first year or so was wrought with frustration as I felt the pains of learning how to plan for meals ahead of time. I had no clue what I was doing, as I'd always made multiple trips to the grocery store every week, if necessary. I cooked what sounded good that night, or we went out. This move had me frazzled. I was so burdened by the thought of making the perfect grocery list that didn't leave anything out and covered all our needs for the week. And don't even get me started on the budget -- we didn't even have one.

So, the very beginning required troubleshooting. I thought, it would only make sense if some ingredients could be used more than once. So, I started incorporating that into my scheme. Then, I realized that I still craved more variety... but not so much that I'd have to buy a million different ingredients. So, I added that in. At that time I was also learning a ton about whole foods and even more about what we didn't want to be putting in our bodies. One more thing to think about.

With all these different components, I began to wonder how could all of this could possibly turn into a holistic plan that we could implement on the regular?

I made the hard choice that for the sake of our family's financial, physical and mental health, I had to buckle down. I became relentless. I read books (THIS ONE was life changing) and researched and tried different things and even banged my head against the wall some days.

I spent years figuring out and perfecting the meal planning system that now works for our family, week-in and week-out.

About a year after I closed my stationery business in 2015, I started getting restless. Being a creative entrepreneur, I don't sit still, well. I had a conversation with my husband one day, expressing the desire to share the system we've come to love so much, with more people. To me, it had become second nature, but I saw so many others around me struggling with the same issues. He said to me, (the way Ryan often does) "why don't you teach it?". The idea was so simple in theory but it terrified me. Again, I had to make a choice. To put fear behind me. So I spent the entire next year creating a course that teaches my meal planning system, and I named it Seamless. Now, I get to share what I've learned with so many other moms and busy women like myself, and help to radically improve the way their families eat.

If you are ready to make a change, then it's time to make a choice. Join the Seamless course now. I promise you will leave empowered and encouraged, yes. But more importantly, equipped to step into life-changing action in the kitchen.
